Vascular Diseases Center

The Vascular Diseases Center is a facility where various conditions caused by vascular pathology are diagnosed and treated, including:

• Varicose veins of the lower limbs
• Atherosclerosis of leg arteries
• Carotid artery (neck vessel) diseases
• Abdominal aortic atherosclerosis

Services Provided

• Consultations and vascular examinations are performed by vascular surgeons (angiosurgeons)

Surgical Procedures

• Surgery of the branches of the aortic arch (carotid, vertebral, and subclavian arteries)
• Surgery of the abdominal aorta and its branches
• Surgery of the arteries of the lower limbs

Treatment of Varicose Veins

Treatment of superficial leg veins includes both conservative and surgical methods:

Conservative treatments:

• Pharmacological (medication-based) treatment
• Compression therapy
• Sclerotherapy (injection of a special solution into the affected vein to close it and prevent further dilation)

Surgical treatments:

• Traditional surgery (phlebectomy)
• Minimally invasive procedures, such as endovenous laser treatment (laser phlebectomy)
