Preventive employee health check-ups are one of the most reliable ways to prevent occupational diseases and avoid workplace accidents. Every employee is required to undergo a health check before starting employment and to do so regularly during their employment. Preventive health check-ups are mandatory not only for those working in hazardous or harmful conditions, but also for employees in various service sectors. Please note that factors such as working with a computer, driving a vehicle, or maintaining a static shoulder position during work are also legally considered risk factors. The frequency of employee health check-ups and the required examinations are regulated by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania.

How are they carried out?

Preventive employee health check-ups are conducted by a family doctor. The doctor interviews the employee, assesses their health condition, and performs the necessary examinations (such as hearing and vision tests, blood pressure measurement, etc.). A general blood test is also performed. After reviewing the test results, the family doctor informs the employee whether additional tests or consultations with specialist doctors are required.

What do we offer?

We provide preventive employee health check-ups at all “Meliva” clinic locations. We examine employees from a wide range of professions, including office workers, drivers, school and kindergarten staff, and others. With clinics located throughout Lithuania, you can choose the most convenient location for your company’s employees.

At “Meliva” clinics, a preventive employee health check-up includes:

a doctor’s consultation;
vision acuity testing and intraocular pressure measurement;
objective hearing assessment;
blood pressure measurement.

After evaluating the employee’s complaints, medical and lifestyle history, medical documentation, diagnosed conditions, specialist conclusions, and workplace risk factors, the doctor also performs:

heart auscultation;
lung auscultation;
a complete blood count;
assessment of mental and nervous system function and/or arrangement of a certificate from a Mental Health Center;
there is also an option to perform unscheduled (additional) health check-ups.

Vaccinations

At any “Meliva” clinic location, we can vaccinate your company’s employees with the required vaccines:

influenza (flu) vaccine;
tick-borne encephalitis vaccine;
other vaccines according to your needs.
