ABO/RhD Blood group and rhesus factor

ABO blood group determination is a test used to identify a person’s blood group based on the presence or absence of A and B antigens on red blood cells. The Rh D test is performed alongside it to determine the presence of the Rh D antigen in the blood.

This test is essential for safe blood transfusions and organ transplants, as incompatible blood can trigger dangerous immune reactions.
